• Keyless entry can make “being locked out” a thing of the past.
• Adding casters to a vintage trunk instantly turns it into a coffee table- and a conversation piece.
• Sliding shelving, cabinet organizers, and closet systems can make the inside of your cabinets just as impressive as the outside.
• Adding smart technology to your home means you can ip the front light on from anywhere.
• An upgraded showerhead can turn your shower into a spa.
• Child safety features can give you peace of mind, without disrupting the design of your home.
• Grab bars and bath seats add stability without sacri cing style.
Upgrading your home can be as easy as choosing new hardware—and we’re here to help.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
When you’ve taken the time to select new hardware, you want it to last. Proper care and maintenance is the key to keeping it looking and working great for a long time.
For the best long-term results, consider the material of your hard- ware, who will be using it, and how durable the nish is, before making a decision.
DOOR HINGES AND LOCKS
Hinges and locks typically do not require maintenance. Spray the moving parts with white lithium grease as needed to allow them to move smoothly, and without unnecessary sound.
CABINET PULLS
Many coated nishes such as Polished Nickel or Brass, as well as Chrome, can easily be cleaned with soap and water, but must not be treated with abrasive cleansers or “soft scrub” products. Oil Rubbed Bronze and other similar nishes often need to be treated with high-quality furniture wax to protect its color and durability. Vintage or weathered nishes can sometimes require a higher level of care.
KITCHEN AND BATHROOM FIXTURES
Porcelain, ceramic and china xtures have a glossy nish that can be maintained with non-abrasive cleaners.
Granite and quartz surfaces should be rinsed and dried regularly, using a diluted solution of bleach and water or other non-abrasive cleanser as needed.
Stainless steel is durable, but must we wiped dry with a non-abra- sive cloth to maintain its shine.
